One of the great liabilities of life is that all too many people find themselves living amid a great period of social change, and yet they fail to develop the new attitudes, the new mental responses, that the new situation demands. They end up sleeping through a revolution.

PULSENJ – Parents Unified for Local School Education is a grassroots organization that was founded by parents and led by parents. We believe that in order to have a quality education system there must be a unified approach as to how the school (district) and the community conduct the decision-making process when it comes to the education of the children in our community. Parental and community engagement is an essential part of a quality education system. It enables parents, teachers, students, community members and others with a stake in public education to understand the challenges facing the district and to become involved in activities that support student learning and sustainability.
